This is a Casablanca Spirit of Saturn Inteli-Touch 6 speed ceiling fan with brown simulated wood grain blades and polished brass finish. It has been in our home since it was purchased around 1989. It worked flawlessly during that time. But we remodeled and the fan no longer matches so we had to take it down and now sell it. The fan comes with an Inteli-touch switch with on-off for the fan and lights plus the fan speed controls. The fan uses three long thin bulbs with candelabra socket Edison light bulbs pictured in one of the photos. These are not included since they were misplaced, and we can’t find them now, but they are standard bulbs. Since the 1970’s, Casablanca was known for making some of the highest quality ceiling fans which featured innovative technology and designs for the time. It operated almost silently, with the only significant noise coming from the blades pushing the air. This was mounted in our bedroom above our bed. The lowest speed generates a very faint, silent breeze and we would often have it on at night. This video shows the operation of the fan, note the background noise is NOT the fan, but some other device. The brass is still very shiny and has an almost mirror-like finish in certain spots. Blades are almost perfect with hardly any dings or scratches. The fan runs silent and wobble free. With the purchase of this unit, you will receive all of all the items in the photographs. Exactly what you see and nothing different. This includes a complete motor assembly, light kit assembly, center glass shade, a set of 5 fan blades, and an Inteli-Touch wall control. You will have to get a mounting kit, which I think is a standard item for most fans, to attach this to the ceiling. It was mounted on an eight-foot ceiling at our house. If you have a higher ceiling and want the fan to be lower, you’ll need to purchase and extension rod separately.We did not use the fan a lot. Only on really hot nights. So, it has not seen a lot of wear. However, since it’s an old fan you might want to have a professional tune / clean the motor to ensure it lasts for many more years.
